Play Guwange Online
Dodge neon bullet storms on foot in feudal Japan—duck behind walls, summon shikigami, and try not to get cornered by swarms of possessed villagers. It’s the kind of chaos where you blink and suddenly the screen’s covered in glowing death patterns.
Guwange is one of those shooters that makes you feel like you're dodging raindrops in a storm—except the raindrops are neon bullets, and the storm wants you dead. It’s a 2D bullet-hell set in feudal Japan, but with demons, possessed villagers, and a curse that kills people exactly one year after they get "blessed" by these creepy shikigami spirits. You pick one of three characters (a shrine maiden, a ninja, or a weirdo with a gun) and basically walk through villages and temples while everything tries to murder you.
What’s cool is that you’re not in a ship—you’re on foot, so you duck behind walls, get stuck on rooftops, and summon your own shikigami to blast enemies when things get too crowded. And they will get crowded. The screen fills up with glowing death patterns so fast you’ll start seeing them when you close your eyes. The Xbox 360 version adds some extra modes, like one where you control the shikigami separately, which feels like rubbing your stomach and patting your head while someone throws knives at you. Good luck.
