Game Overview
Gyromite (JUE) is this weird little NES puzzle game where you play as a scientist trying to defuse dynamite in a lab. ROB the robot moves colored pillars for you, but the controls feel stiff—like you're fighting the mechanics as much as the Smicks wandering around.
The first few levels trick you into thinking it's simple, then suddenly you're stuck between a Smick and a pillar with no radish to distract it. The sleepwalking mode is even stranger—you just guide a guy home while ROB does all the work, which feels oddly passive.
It's one of those games that makes you appreciate how janky early NES titles could be. Gyromite (JUE) has charm, but it's definitely more of a curiosity than something you'd play for fun.
