Download Heart Of China_Disk1 ROM – Amiga Game
1991 Amiga adventure game. Play as pilot Jake Masters in 1930s China to rescue kidnapped nurse Kate Lomax. Features point-and-click exploration, branching dialogue, arcade sequences, and multiple solutions to challenges.
Heart of China is this wild, pulpy adventure that feels like someone mashed up an old-school action flick with a romance novel. You play as Jake "Lucky" Masters, a washed-up WWI pilot dragged into rescuing a kidnapped heiress from some warlord’s fortress. The whole thing’s dripping with 1930s exoticism—Hong Kong backstreets, shady ninjas, the works.
What’s cool is how it lets you bumble through the story your own way. You can charm your way past guards, sneak in like a thief, or just punch your problems (though that might get you killed). The dialogue branches actually matter, and failing certain arcade-y bits doesn’t brick your progress—you just… skip ahead, bruised ego intact.
Visually, it’s this weird mix of grainy actor photos pasted onto painted backdrops, which somehow makes the melodrama even better. If you’ve played Rise of the Dragon, it’s basically that but with more fedoras and doomed romance. Just don’t expect subtlety—this is all zeppelins and last-minute escapes.
