Heimdall 2 picks up right where the first game left off—Loki’s still causing chaos, and this time, you’ve got to hunt down pieces of a shattered amulet to finally put an end to his nonsense. The twist? You’re not just playing as Heimdall anymore. Odin tosses in a Valkyrie named Ursha to help out, and you can switch between them on the fly. Some puzzles need both of them, which keeps things interesting.

The isometric view gives it that classic adventure feel, and the worlds you explore are packed with Norse mythology—think Midgard, Utgard, and probably a few places you can’t pronounce. Combat’s straightforward—swing a sword, shoot arrows, or blast things with magic—but the real challenge is the puzzles. Most of them boil down to “find this thing, bring it to that person,” but there are a few head-scratchers where you’ve gotta combine items or navigate mazes.

Switching between Heimdall and Ursha isn’t just a gimmick—some areas are easier (or only possible) with one or the other. It’s got that old-school trial-and-error vibe where you’ll probably wander into a dead end or two before figuring out the right path. If you’re into Norse lore and don’t mind some pixel-hunting, it’s a solid follow-up to the first game.
