Play Hissatsu Doujou Yaburi (Japan) Online
Pick a fighting style, then travel town to town challenging dojos—each duel’s a tense back-and-forth of stance changes and well-timed strikes. The pixelated dojo masters talk big, but nothing beats that moment when your perfectly timed kick sends them flying.

Hissatsu Doujou Yaburi came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987, developed by SNK. It was part of that wave of late 80s NES games that leaned into martial arts themes, offering something a little different from the platformers and RPGs dominating the system at the time.
You control a wandering martial artist who travels from town to town, challenging dojo masters in one-on-one duels. The main goal is to defeat every master and become the strongest fighter. Combat is built around timing and spacing; you switch between high, middle, and low stances to block and attack, looking for openings in your opponent’s defense. Each duel takes place on a single screen, and victory requires reading your opponent’s movements and reacting quickly. The game is challenging, with aggressive AI that punishes mistakes, but landing a perfectly timed strike that knocks a master down is deeply satisfying. It feels sharp and deliberate, like a real test of reflexes.
