Hoccer came out in 1984 for arcades, developed and published by Sierra On-Line. It was a time when simple, fast-paced action games were common, and this one fit right in with its straightforward premise and single-screen challenges.
You control a lone hockey player, moving around a small rink to avoid a full opposing team that constantly chases you. Your main goal is to knock out every opponent by hitting them with the puck, which you shoot using your stick. The puck ricochets off the walls, and you have to time your shots carefully while dodging the other players closing in on you. The game moves quickly, and the difficulty ramps up as more opponents fill the screen, demanding quick reflexes and sharp aim. It feels frantic but satisfying when you clear a wave and catch a moment to breathe.
