Hot Potato! came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, published by BAM! Entertainment. It was one of those simple, frantic party games that fit right in with the handheld's local multiplayer scene, a time when you actually had to be in the same room to play against your friends. The concept was straightforward, almost silly, but it had a way of pulling everyone into its little explosive world.

You control a small character on screen and pass a ticking bomb back and forth between players. The main goal is to not be the one holding it when it detonates. You navigate through various stages with obstacles that can block or deflect your throws, and the fuse timer gradually shortens as the match goes on, forcing quicker and more panicked decisions. It’s fast, silly, and full of that genuine tension that comes from knowing your reflexes are the only thing between you and a pixelated explosion.
