Game Overview
Ice Climber (JE) is one of those old-school NES platformers that feels simple at first—just climb, jump, and whack things with your mallet. But the controls are slippery, and those icy floors make every jump tense. One wrong move, and you're sliding right into a polar bear.
The mountains get trickier fast, with condors swooping in and icicles dropping from above. The two-player mode is chaotic in the best way—you either work together or accidentally knock each other off platforms. The bonus stages at the top are a nice break, just grabbing veggies before the next climb.
It's not perfect—sometimes the jumps feel unfair, and the screen doesn't scroll, so you're stuck guessing what's above. But there's something satisfying about finally reaching the peak after a dozen failed attempts. Ice Climber (JE) is rough around the edges, but it's got that classic arcade-style challenge.
