So Ice Climber is this old-school NES game where you play as these little parka-wearing climbers trying to scramble up icy mountains. You've got 32 of them to conquer, each split into eight messy layers of platforms—some crumbly, some slippery, some with polar bears just hanging out waiting to knock you off. The condors are worse though; those jerks swoop in out of nowhere.
Your trusty mallet does double duty: smacking enemies and breaking bricks to carve out paths upward. First time I played, I spent way too long just whacking random blocks before realizing you gotta be strategic about it. And those bonus stages at the top? Pure chaos—but the good kind.
