You control a farmer rebelling against oppressive tax collectors and their samurai enforcers. Your goal is to survive each screen, defeating all enemies to progress. Your main weapon is a scythe that you throw in an arc; it returns like a boomerang, so timing your shots is crucial. You also collect gold coins scattered by fallen foes, which can be used to purchase temporary power-ups like faster movement or a more powerful weapon from a wandering merchant.
