In The Hunt is one of those arcade shooters that makes you feel like you're piloting a tiny, angry submarine through an absolute warzone. You start off with basic torpedoes, but before long you're dodging mines, weaving between enemy subs, and praying nothing drops depth charges from above—because yeah, surprise, attacks come from the surface too.
What I love is how weighty the sub feels—it’s not some zippy spaceship, so you really have to plan your dodges. And the slowdown/speed-up mechanic? Lifesaver when you're threading through narrow cave sections. The pixel art’s gorgeous, especially when explosions light up the murky water. Grab a friend for co-op if you can—it turns the chaos up to 11.
Just don’t get too attached to your upgrades. You’ll lose them. A lot.
