Play INTERNATIONAL CRICKET (EU) Online
Play full cricket matches with batting, bowling, and fielding in this NES sports simulation.
INTERNATIONAL CRICKET (EU) came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Laser Beam Entertainment Pty. Ltd. It was one of the few cricket games on the NES, arriving late in the console's life when sports sims were becoming more detailed. The game lets you play full one day internationals, with teams based on real cricketing nations of the time.
You control all aspects of your cricket team, from choosing your batting order and bowlers to directing field placements. When batting, you time your shots with button presses to hit the ball into gaps and score runs. While bowling, you select the type of delivery and aim to hit the stumps or trick the batsman. Fielding is mostly automatic, though you can attempt run outs. The game moves at a deliberate pace, with matches taking a good amount of time to complete. It feels like a straightforward, earnest attempt to translate cricket into 8-bit form.
