International Golf on the Amiga is one of those classic top-down golf games that somehow makes pixelated greens feel weirdly immersive. You’ve got two full 18-hole courses—Riviera Country Club and Sterling Shores—and honestly, Riviera’s the tougher one, especially when the wind kicks in.

At first, the mouse-driven menus feel a little clunky, but you get used to it fast. You’ll pick clubs (14 in total, from drivers to putters), adjust your shot type, and then deal with that nerve-wracking swing meter. Time your click wrong, and your ball’s either slicing into the rough or hooking straight into a water hazard. Putting’s its own mini-game—those gradient markers help, but reading the green still takes practice.

You can play solo, go head-to-head against the CPU, or even drag three friends into a full tournament with 65 golfers (most AI, but up to four human-controlled). The practice mode is great for figuring out why your chip shots keep overshooting the green. It’s old-school, but there’s something satisfying about nailing a perfect drive with pixel-perfect timing.
