International Golf on the Amiga is one of those classic top-down golf games that somehow makes pixelated greens feel weirdly immersive. You’ve got two full 18-hole courses—Riviera Country Club and Sterling Shores—and honestly, Sterling Shores is the tougher one, with some brutal water hazards that kept wrecking my score.

What’s cool is how much control you get despite the simple mouse-driven menus. You pick from 14 clubs (woods, irons, wedges, the usual), adjust power and direction, even choose between chip shots or punch shots if you’re stuck in the rough. The swing meter’s the real test though—click at the wrong moment and your ball’s either slicing into the trees or hooking straight into a sand trap. Putting’s its own mini-game, with gradient markers showing the green’s slopes. Took me a few holes to stop overshooting the cup.

You can play solo in practice mode, go head-to-head against the AI, or dive into a full tournament with 65 golfers (only four can be human players, so good luck beating those computer-controlled pros). It’s the kind of game where you swear you’ll quit after one round, then end up playing three more just to shave a stroke off your score.
