Game Overview

Jeopardy! Platinum Edition came out for the Game Boy in 2000, developed by GameTek. It was one of the many trivia and game show adaptations that filled out the handheld's library, offering a portable version of the familiar television format without much in the way of graphical ambition.

You play as a contestant, selecting clues from the board by moving a cursor and inputting your responses in the form of a question. The main goal is to accumulate the highest score before the Final Jeopardy round. Key mechanics include wagering daily doubles strategically and carefully phrasing your final answer to avoid penalties. The pace is brisk, and the difficulty largely depends on your own knowledge, though the pressure of the timer adds a genuine challenge. It feels like a decent mental workout crammed into a tiny cartridge.
