Play Jet Force Gemini (USA) (Demo) Online
Blast giant alien bugs with a triple-barreled gun, switching between characters mid-fight—that hover-jump never gets old. Chaotic, colorful, and somehow smooth despite the N64 controller.

Jet Force Gemini came out on the Nintendo 64 in 1999, developed by Rare. It was part of that late-era push for the console, games that tried to squeeze every bit of power out of the hardware, often with mixed but ambitious results.
You control one of three members of the Jet Force team, fighting through insect-infested planets to rescue tribal bear-like creatures called Tribals. The gameplay mixes third-person shooting with exploration; you switch characters to use their unique abilities, like Juno’s strength or Vela’s agility, and you often backtrack to open new paths. The shooting feels chunky and responsive, though the controls take some getting used to. It’s a difficult game, demanding precision and patience, especially with its infamous requirement to rescue every single Tribal to see the true ending. Playing it feels like navigating a vast, dangerous toy box where every corner might hide a new weapon or a swarm of enemies.
