Game Overview
Journey to Silius is one of those NES games that looks simple at first—just another run-and-gun shooter—but man, it’s got this weirdly intense vibe. You play as Jay McCray, some guy in the future whose dad got murdered by terrorists, and now you’re blasting through five stages of angry robots and weird sci-fi corridors to get revenge. The music slaps (Sunsoft always nailed that), and the levels have this cool mix of tight platforming and chaotic shootouts. Some of the jumps are brutal, though—expect to die a lot before you figure out the timing. It’s short but satisfying when you finally punch through that last boss.
