Play Kirikou Online
You play as tiny Kirikou stabbing enemies and climbing through vibrant African landscapes—some tricky jumps, but finding every hidden collectible feels rewarding. That password system’s brutal though—better grab a pen.

Kirikou came out on the Game Boy Color in 2001, developed by Planet Interactive and published by Cryo Interactive. It was part of that late-era wave of GBC titles, colorful and ambitious, trying to squeeze a bit more out of the hardware before the Advance took over. The game is based on the animated film, and it captures that world pretty well.
You control the small, quick Kirikou, moving screen by screen through villages, forests, and caves. Your main goal is to rescue the children of your village who have been captured. You use a short spear to jab at enemies and can find a blowpipe for hitting distant targets. Exploration is key; you push blocks, hunt for hidden items, and talk with villagers for clues. The pacing is deliberate, with some challenging platforming sections that require precise jumps. It feels like a compact, thoughtful adventure, where every new area uncovered brings a small but genuine sense of progress.
