Knight Rider on the NES came out in 1989 from Pack-In-Video. It was one of those many licensed games from the era, trying to capture the feel of a popular show on the limited hardware. You get the car, the music, and the basic premise, but it's definitely a product of its time.

You control Michael Knight's talking car, KITT, from an overhead view, driving through different environments. The main goal is to complete missions by destroying enemy vehicles and reaching specific points on the map. You use a standard machine gun and a limited supply of super weapons, like missiles, to take out foes. The game is split between driving sections and brief first-person segments for using special gadgets. It's surprisingly difficult, with aggressive enemy patterns and a constant pressure from a ticking clock. Driving KITT feels responsive, but the challenge makes every successful mission a real accomplishment.
