Game Overview
Kyouryuu Sentai Juuranger is one of those weird little NES gems that never made it out of Japan—which is a shame, because it’s basically a lost Power Rangers game before Power Rangers was even a thing. You control a team of color-coded dinosaur warriors (sound familiar?) jumping and slashing through side-scrolling levels, occasionally morphing into a giant robot to punch kaiju in the face. The controls are a little stiff, but there’s something charming about how it throws in random shooter segments and that classic 8-bit Super Sentai energy. If you’ve ever wanted to see where MMPR got its DNA, this is a fun little time capsule.
