Lasso is an arcade game from 1982, developed and published by SNK Corporation. You control a cowboy on a single screen, tasked with roping all the wandering animals. Your main objective is to lasso the sheep and lead them back to your pen before wolves or pesky, hopping lizards can interfere. The signature mechanics are the lasso itself, which you throw to catch animals, and the constant threat of enemies who will either steal your captured sheep or outright end your turn. The pacing is methodical at first, but the rounds get faster, demanding quicker reactions and smarter pathing. One wrong move sends you back to the start, and it feels like a genuine test of patience and precision against a ticking clock.
