Game Overview

Legions - Yomigaeru Shiren no Shima is one of those GBA games that slipped under the radar but absolutely shouldn’t have. At first glance, it feels like a straightforward tactical RPG—you’ve got your grid-based battles, your little squad of warriors, and that satisfying "click" when you outmaneuver an enemy. But then the dungeons start shifting, your best-laid plans fall apart, and suddenly you’re scrambling to keep your archers alive while a swarm of monsters closes in.

The rogue-like twists keep things unpredictable—I lost count of how many times I thought I had a perfect strategy, only for the game to throw a curveball. The pixel art’s got that classic GBA charm, all sharp colors and smooth animations, and the music nails that eerie, adventurous vibe. It’s tough, yeah, but in that way where every failure feels like your fault, not the game’s. If you’ve ever wished Fire Emblem had more dungeon-crawling chaos, this is your fix.

Just don’t get too attached to your first squad. They probably won’t make it.
