Game Overview

Professor Mariarti is exactly what it sounds like—a slightly unhinged scientist whose experiments have gone very, very wrong. Now he’s scrambling through his own labs, trying to shut down the power before things get worse. The first four labs are open in any order, which is nice because I definitely got stuck on one and just moved to another instead.

It’s a classic platformer—jumping over gaps, dodging weird lab creatures, and occasionally chucking wrenches at them (because apparently that’s his default weapon?). But the real fun starts when you find coins scattered around. Save up enough, and you can upgrade to something way cooler, like a laser cannon. Just don’t get too comfortable—enemies respawn fast, so you’re never really safe.

There’s some light puzzling too—grabbing items, figuring out where they go, flipping switches in the right order. Nothing brain-melting, but enough to keep you from just mindlessly running through. The whole thing has that slightly chaotic Amiga charm, where everything feels a little unpredictable in the best way.

If you like your platformers with a side of mad science and just the right amount of jank, this one’s a solid pick.
