Play Magic of Scheherazade Online
You chase an evil wizard through shifting eras of Arabia, swapping between Zelda-like exploration and turn-based battles where your class choice—fighter, saint, or fragile magician—actually stings when scorpions wreck you. Time travel twists familiar places into new puzzles.

Game Overview
Magic of Scheherazade is one of those NES RPGs that doesn’t get enough love. You play as a magician tossed through time after a failed fight against Sabaron, this world’s resident evil wizard—and now you’ve got to chase him across different eras of Arabia to rescue Scheherazade (yes, that Scheherazade).
What’s cool is how it mixes things up: wandering the overworld feels like Zelda with real-time sword swings, but then battles flip to turn-based strategy where you command a whole party. Picking your class actually matters—Fighters hit hard, Saints heal, and Magicians… well, they’re glass cannons, obviously. I went Magician first and regretted it immediately when a sand scorpion one-shotted me.
The time travel gimmick means you’ll see the same places in different centuries, which is neat when a ruined temple in one era is bustling in another. Just watch out for those random enemy swarms—nothing like getting jumped by six genies when you’re just trying to buy a new staff.
