Play Medal of Honor Advance Online

You start with just a pistol, creeping through trenches before suddenly you're blasting from a jeep turret—somehow this tiny cart makes those pixelated firefights feel legit. Yeah, the AI's dumb and aiming's awkward, but those muffled gunshots? Pure handheld warzone.

Game Overview

Medal of Honor Advance came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by DreamWorks Interactive. It was one of the few World War II shooters on the handheld, trying to bring a console-style experience to a small screen. At the time, it felt ambitious, even if the hardware had clear limits.

You control an Allied soldier, moving through enemy territory to complete objectives like destroying artillery or rescuing prisoners. The game uses an overhead view for exploration, switching to a first-person perspective when you aim and shoot. You collect ammo and health packs, and you occasionally man stationary guns or vehicle turrets. The pacing is deliberate, with frequent stops to clear areas or solve simple environmental puzzles. It can be unforgiving; enemies respawn, and health is scarce. Playing it feels like a condensed, sometimes clunky, but earnest attempt to translate a big-screen war into your hands.
