This GBA game nails that vibe perfectly—you start off as a rookie agent getting handed the iconic Noisy Cricket (which, yes, still kicks like a mule) and suddenly you're blasting weird aliens through pixel-art versions of New York. The first level throws you right into it: dodging neon-green goo shots from some squid-faced creep while trying not to fall off fire escapes.
What I love is how it keeps switching things up. Just when you get comfortable running and gunning, bam—you're suddenly in a top-down shooter section chasing a UFO, or solving a dumb-but-fun puzzle where you have to zap the right alien in a crowd before they escape. The animation's surprisingly smooth for a GBA title, especially when J and K show up with their exaggerated cartoon swagger.
