Remember that old Men in Black cartoon from the late '90s? This Game Boy Color game captures its vibe perfectly—you're basically a rookie agent running through city streets and secret bases, blasting aliens with an arsenal that includes the iconic Noisy Cricket (which, yes, still sends you flying backward).
The first level drops you right into the action: dodging weird alien projectiles, rescuing civilians who probably won’t remember any of this, and figuring out when to switch between J and K (they handle slightly differently). The pixel art’s surprisingly detailed—some of those alien designs are gloriously gross.
It’s got that classic side-scroller feel, but with little MIB twists like hacking terminals or hunting for hidden upgrades. And the dialogue? Pure cheese, in the best way. If you’ve got a soft spot for licensed games that actually tried, this one’s a solid time capsule.
