Metal Slug Advance (TRSI) (EU) is a run-and-gun shooter for the GBA that keeps the series' chaotic energy intact. You start with just a pistol and a handful of grenades, but within minutes you're blasting through waves of enemies, rescuing POWs, and hopping into tanks that feel way too powerful for their own good.
The E-card system adds a nice twist—rescued allies toss them at you like battlefield trading cards, and later you can use them to tweak your stats. It's satisfying to see your character slowly bulk up between missions, though the difficulty still spikes hard in later levels.
What sticks with me is how frantic it gets when the screen fills with bullets, explosions, and weird enemy designs. Metal Slug Advance (TRSI) (EU) doesn't hold back just because it's on a handheld.
