Metal Slug on Flash Classic is basically the arcade experience without the quarters. The pixel art still holds up—explosions look chunky and satisfying, bullets whiz past your head, and those little soldiers still scream when you mow them down. Controls are simple (WASD to move, JKL for shooting and jumping), though good luck figuring out the Japanese menu at first—just mash buttons until the game starts.
You’ll grab a heavy machine gun within seconds, and suddenly you’re blasting tanks, helicopters, and those weird zombie guys from Metal Slug 2. It’s chaotic in the best way, just like the original. The only thing missing is the smell of stale pizza from the arcade.
