Metroid X (V1.0) (Metroid Hack) is a NES romhack that remixes the original game's world—familiar rooms are rearranged, new paths open up, and some areas feel completely different. The first few minutes trick you into thinking it's the same old Metroid, until you hit a dead end where there shouldn't be one.

It's still exploration-heavy, but the changes force you to rethink routes you've memorized from the original. Some sections are brutal—expect to backtrack a lot when you hit energy tank shortages. The music and sprites are untouched, so it feels like a twisted version of the game you know.
