One minute you're dodging barrels in black-and-white Steamboat Willie style, the next you're tossing marbles at ghosts in a Haunted House level. The animation's surprisingly smooth for a Genesis game—you can tell they really studied those old Disney frames.

It's not just nostalgia bait though. Some levels actually change art styles mid-stage when Mickey "remembers" newer cartoons, which blew my mind as a kid. The marble throwing feels a bit stiff at first, but you get used to it after dying to Pete for the fifth time. And yeah, you will die—some of those later platforming sections get brutal.
