Game Overview

Micro Machines is one of those games that makes you feel like a kid again—racing tiny cars around breakfast tables, bathtubs, and school desks like they're full-scale tracks. The top-down view gives you this weirdly satisfying perspective, like you're some giant watching toy cars zip around. At first, I thought the controls would be too slippery, but after a few races, you start nailing those tight turns between cereal boxes.

You pick from these little racers (the dude with the sunglasses was my go-to), and the tracks are ridiculous in the best way—one minute you're dodging forks on a kitchen table, the next you're skidding across a pool table with billiard balls rolling into your path. The US and EU versions have slightly different courses, so if you've played one, the other still throws surprises at you.

It's simple, chaotic, and way more competitive than it has any right to be when you're racing against friends.
