Momoko 120% is one of those arcade gems that feels frantic right from the start—you’re dodging flames, hopping onto shaky escalators, and blasting weird little enemies while a tiny girl in a school uniform scrambles for the roof. The controls are simple (run, jump, shoot), but the building’s layout keeps changing, so you’re never quite sure if that ladder will actually get you out or just dump you back into the fire.
Fun fact: the NES version got a glow-up with Lum from Urusei Yatsura slapped on it, but the original arcade release has this weird, janky charm. The trampolines are way too bouncy, some enemies just shamble at you like sleepwalkers, and Momoko’s tiny sprite somehow conveys pure panic as the timer ticks down.
