Game Overview
Monster Trucks DS is exactly what it sounds like—big, loud trucks doing ridiculous stunts on your tiny DS screen. You start off picking from a few monster trucks (of course I went for the one with flames first) and then just... smash stuff. Ramps, barrels, even other trucks if you're feeling mean.
The controls take a second to get used to—tilting the truck mid-air with the D-pad feels weirdly satisfying once you nail it. And yeah, the physics are totally over-the-top, like your truck weighs nothing until it suddenly flips and lands upside down in the mud. There’s something oddly fun about that.
It’s not exactly a deep racing sim, but if you want to bounce around like a lunatic for 15 minutes between bus rides, this does the job. Just don’t expect Gran Turismo.
