Mr. Jump is one of those games that looks simple until you actually try it, then it laughs in your face. You control this little block guy who auto-runs, and all you do is tap to make him jump. Sounds easy, right? Nope. The timing has to be perfect, or you’re plummeting into spikes, falling off ledges, or just generally dying in embarrassing ways.
It’s based on Maniac Minor, an old-school brutal platformer, so expect zero hand-holding. The first few levels trick you into thinking you’ve got the hang of it, then suddenly you’re replaying the same section 20 times because one pixel off ruins everything. Arrow keys control movement, but honestly, most of the time you’re just holding right and praying your jumps land.
If you’re into masochistic platformers where every victory feels like a miracle, this is your jam. Otherwise, maybe stick to something gentler.
