Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness (E) takes the classic dot-chomping formula and stretches it into something weirder. You still navigate mazes, but now there's this whole story about collecting gems to save Pac-Land from some vague evil force.
The first few levels trick you into thinking it's just classic Ms. Pac-Man with better graphics. Then suddenly you're pushing blocks, dodging new enemies, and solving light puzzles while the camera awkwardly rotates around the maze. It's disorienting at first, especially on the small GBA screen.
I got stuck for way too long on one level where you have to lure ghosts into traps. The controls feel a little stiff when precision matters, but there's something satisfying about slowly mastering each maze's gimmick. Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness (E) is an odd mix of nostalgia and experimental 3D platforming that doesn't always work, but keeps you curious about what weird maze comes next.
