Game Overview
Myth: History in the Making is one of those Amiga games that feels like two adventures in one, depending on whether you're playing the 8-bit or 16-bit version. The 8-bit side throws you in as a modern kid who accidentally time-travels into a war against some dark angel—classic '80s fantasy vibes. But if you're on a 16-bit machine, you're Ankalagan, a warrior hopping through time using Stonehenge as a portal. Same game underneath, just with a cooler backstory.
Either way, you're jumping across platforms and brawling through mythologies—Greek, Viking, even Valhalla, where Thor shows up like a final boss who forgot he's supposed to be friendly. At first, you're just punching things (badly), but eventually you grab swords, axes, and other weapons that make fights less of a desperate scramble. Enemies never stop coming, though, and each level mixes up their types enough that you can't just spam the same attack.
It's not all mindless combat—some sections force you to pause and figure out puzzles, usually involving switches or weirdly placed platforms. The solutions aren't always obvious, but that just means you'll spend half your time experimenting and the other half getting jumped by respawning enemies. Classic Amiga charm.
