Game Overview

Myth: History in the Making is one of those Amiga games that feels like two adventures in one, depending on whether you're playing the 8-bit or 16-bit version. The 8-bit side throws you in as a modern kid who accidentally time-travels into some ancient mess, while the 16-bit version makes you Ankalagan, a warrior hopping through history using Stonehenge as a time portal. Either way, you're in for a lot of sword-swinging and mythology-hopping.

You start off punching your way through enemies (because apparently fists are a valid strategy against mythological beasts), but eventually grab swords, axes—anything to fend off the endless waves of creatures. The levels jump from Greek myths to Viking battles, and yeah, you even run into Thor at some point. The platforming gets tricky, especially when you hit sections where smashing everything won’t help—sometimes you actually have to stop and figure out a puzzle or two.

It’s got that classic Amiga charm where the graphics shift slightly between versions, but the core is the same: a weirdly satisfying mix of combat, exploration, and the occasional "wait, how do I get past this?" moment. Just don’t expect the enemies to ever stop coming.
