Navarone is one of those old-school arcade shooters where you're a battleship trying to blast an island fortress to bits. What's cool is you don't just move side-to-side—you can slide up and down the edges too, dodging fire from turrets that never seem to run out of ammo.
The island's covered in these little dots and mines you've gotta clear by shooting them. Hit a mine and it takes out everything around it in a satisfying chain reaction. But watch out for that creepy skull in the middle—it's protected by walls that occasionally open up, giving you just enough time to land a shot between dodging bullets.
Clearing the whole island feels great, especially when you finish fast enough to grab the time bonus. It's simple but surprisingly tense once those turrets start filling the screen with shots.
