Nebulus 2 takes the weirdly satisfying tower-climbing of the first game and cranks it up—now you’ve got to knock the towers down and rebuild them. Pogo’s back, still rocking that little construction worker outfit, but this time he’s up against "The Uncle," some crime boss who’s holding seven oxygen-producing towers hostage. Galactic bureaucracy being what it is, they send a guy with a pogo stick instead of, you know, an army.

Same basic idea—jump, dodge enemies, don’t fall—but now there’s this frantic scramble after toppling each tower where you’ve got to hop across crumbling platforms to restore power. Mess up and you’re stuck retracing your steps. The new gadgets help, though: magnets yank you up, rockets give you a boost, and the jumping boots… well, they make you jump better. There are a few mini-games too, like dodging asteroids in space (because why not?).

It’s still weirdly hypnotic watching Pogo bounce his way up those spinning towers, even if the controls take some getting used to.
