Neo Mr. Do! takes the classic arcade chaos of the original and cranks it up with better visuals and stereo sound. You play as the little clown guy (that hat is iconic) digging through dirt to grab cherries in groups of eight—but if you chain them without stopping, you rack up way more points. The catch? Those weird bouncing monsters follow your dug-out paths, and they’re relentless. Sometimes they even morph into different shapes to cut you off.
Your only defense is this bouncing power ball you can throw, but it’s risky—you’re totally vulnerable until it loops back to you. Or you can get clever and trick monsters into getting crushed by rolling apples. Once all enemies are on screen, this special item pops up in the center, and if you grab it, you get these letter-carrying alpha monsters spelling out "EXTRA." Take them all down, and boom—extra life.
Between levels, there are these weird little intermission animations (a nice touch), and if you clear a stage by wiping out all enemies instead of collecting cherries, you jump into a bonus round where you strategically drop apples to build a path to the exit. It’s simple but weirdly satisfying when you pull it off.
