You control a fixed planetary defense cannon, using a trackball to maneuver a targeting reticle across the wrap-around playfield. Your objective is to protect your planet at the center by shooting down waves of geometric invaders, called Trons, before their bombs or kamikaze runs can destroy it. The core mechanics involve leading your shots on fast, zigzagging enemies while constantly scanning the entire screen for threats; the pacing is relentless, with missiles and bombers appearing from all directions almost faster than you can track. It feels like a desperate, panicked scramble to keep everything from falling apart at once.
