Game Overview

Othello on GB is exactly what it sounds like—the classic black-and-white flipping board game, but now crammed onto a tiny Game Boy screen. You start by dropping your discs (black or white) to sandwich your opponent’s pieces, flipping them to your side. The rules are simple, but the AI actually puts up a decent fight if you’re playing solo.

At first, I kept losing because I’d go for obvious moves instead of thinking ahead. The computer loves to sneak in those corner steals. Two-player mode is fun if you’ve got a friend nearby, though you’ll be passing the Game Boy back and forth. By the end, the board’s usually a mess of frantic last-minute flips.

It’s Othello—no frills, no fancy graphics, just pure strategy in pixel form.
