Game Overview

Pac-Land on the Amiga is this weirdly charming side-scroller where Pac-Man suddenly has limbs—which still feels odd after all these years. You’re basically playing taxi for a tiny fairy, dodging the usual ghost gang (plus Sue, who I swear is faster than the others) across 16 rounds of cartoonish streets and forests. The power pellets still turn ghosts blue for munching, but now you’re also hopping over lakes with springboards and grabbing fruit mid-run.

What’s funny is how dramatic it gets—if you’re too slow, a ghost just materializes behind you like some horror movie jump scare. And yeah, the ending’s pure 80s cheese: magic shoes, a reunion with Ms. Pac-Man and the kids, the whole deal. It’s janky in that old-school way where timing jumps feels both unfair and weirdly satisfying when you nail it.
