Game Overview

Pac-Man (Namco) (EU) on NES is exactly what you'd expect—simple, frantic, and oddly satisfying. The maze feels tighter than the arcade version, and the ghosts move in those familiar patterns, but something about the NES controls makes it just a bit more tense.

You spend most of your time weaving through corridors, listening to that iconic munching sound as you clear dots. The power pellets give you a few seconds of relief, turning the tables so you can chase the ghosts instead. But it never lasts—Blinky always speeds up, Clyde does something unpredictable, and before you know it, you're back to running.

The intermission cutscenes are a nice touch, little animated breaks between the chaos. It's not the smoothest port, but it's still Pac-Man—easy to pick up, hard to put down.
