Play Peter Pan & the Pirates Online
Swinging Peter’s stubby sword feels off, and hunting down every last pirate turns levels into a chore. The flying mechanic’s neat, but good luck enjoying it with all the jank.

Peter Pan & the Pirates came out on the NES in 1990, developed by Equilibrium and published by THQ. It was one of many licensed games from that era, trying to capture the magic of a popular story on the limited hardware. You play as Peter Pan, flying through levels based on locations from the story like the Jolly Roger and Mermaid Lagoon.
You control Peter, using a short sword to fight pirates and a bow for distant enemies. The main goal is to rescue the Lost Boys, who are hidden throughout each stage. Exploration is screen by screen, and you often need to find a specific key to unlock the exit. The pacing is slow, partly because the controls feel imprecise and the combat is clunky. It feels like a struggle against the game's own design more than a fight against Captain Hook.
