Play Pin Bot Online
NES port of Williams' arcade pinball with split-screen scrolling and bizarre ball-eating monsters. 4-player madness included.

Pin Bot came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed by Rare. It was a port of the Williams Electronics pinball machine, landing on the console during a time when arcade translations were common, though not always perfect. This one stood out for trying to capture a specific, complex table's spirit on the 8-bit hardware.
You control the flippers, trying to keep the ball in play across a multi-tiered playfield. The main goal is to complete the robot's face by hitting specific targets to light up his eyes and mouth, which eventually activates a multiball mode. Key mechanics include the upper playfield, where you can lock balls, and the bumpers that change the robot's facial features. The game moves fast, with a steep difficulty curve that punishes missed shots harshly. It feels like a genuine, frantic effort to manage chaos on a small screen.
