Play Plok! Online
You fling your own limbs at flea armies, spin-jump between islands, and randomly turn into UFOs—it’s weird, tough, and weirdly charming.

Plok! came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Software Creations. It was part of that wave of early SNES platformers that felt experimental, willing to try things outside the usual Mario or Sonic mold. The game had a distinct look and sound, with a bright, almost garish color palette and a soundtrack by the Follin brothers that really stood out.
You control Plok, a character whose main ability is throwing his own arms and legs as projectile weapons. The goal is to recover his stolen flag from a group of fleas, which involves traveling across multiple islands, clearing each screen of enemies to progress. The level design is nonlinear, often requiring backtracking once you gain new abilities, like a rocket pack or a submarine. The pacing is brisk, but the difficulty spikes sharply, especially in later stages. Playing it feels like navigating a cheerful, slightly unhinged obstacle course where your own body is your primary tool.
