Pnickies is like Puyo Puyo’s weird cousin—same jelly-like blocks, but with a twist. Instead of just matching colors, you’ve got these star blocks mixed in, and you need two of them in a connected group to make everything vanish. The first time I played, I kept forgetting about the stars and just stared at the screen as my tower of blocks grew way too tall.
Versus mode gets brutal fast. If you pull off a big chain, you’ll dump a pile of unbreakable black blocks on your opponent, and watching them panic to clear them is half the fun. No CPU opponents, though, so you’ll need a real person to trash-talk (or beg for mercy).
It’s simple, chaotic, and way more tense than it looks at first glance.
