Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue came out on the Nintendo 64 in 2000, developed by Red Sky Interactive. It was one of those late-era N64 games that tried to capture the feel of the TV show, arriving at a time when the console was sharing the spotlight with newer systems. You pick from the five Lightspeed Rangers, each with their own weapon and a shared goal: stop the demon army from destroying the city.

You control your chosen Ranger through linear, screen by screen levels, punching and kicking your way through groups of monsters. The main objective is to defeat all enemies in an area before moving on, but the twist comes with timed rescue segments where you must find and escort panicked civilians to safety. Some stages switch to the Titanium Ranger for on-rails shooting sections, offering a change of pace. The game moves quickly, though the difficulty can spike with certain enemy types that demand more precise combos. It feels exactly like what you imagined being a Power Ranger would be like when you were ten.
